We are a pediatric dental office situated in Downtown Silver Spring. We are looking for team members to join our practice. Our office is committed to providing quality dental care in a warm, kid-friendly environment. We are interested in candidates that share the same commitment and enthusiasm in working with children and families on a daily basis.

We are looking for someone to start as a part-time dental assistant (Saturday). This role is critical to our relationship with patients and their families and requires excellent service, keen attention to detail, efficiency, quality care, and commitment to confidentiality in our healthcare setting. Dental assistant responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Supporting and providing chair side assistance to the dentist with various dental procedures and notes for patient charts during dental examinations and treatment
• Assistance during treatment may include taking diagnostic x-rays, and handling of tools as the dentist operates. Sterilize and maintain instruments, as well as the sterilization area
• Set up and break down operatories
• Assist with managing supply inventory and ordering
• Maintain a clean and professional office environment
• Assist with presenting and/or explaining treatment plans
• Greet all patients and families with a friendly, positive attitude

Role Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a pediatric dental assistant
• Reliable transportation to and from work, enabling team member to be punctual each day
• Self-motivated team player
• Eager to learn and support practice development
• Experience with patient management software and maintaining notes for patient charts
• Must be reliable, well spoken, and presentable
• Must have a high school diploma
• Completion of a dental assistant program
• MD X-ray certification

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

• Experience with Dentrix patient management software
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
