Job Summary:

Responsible for planning, overseeing, and negotiating project related purchasing activities. Plays a crucial role in creating and maintaining supplier relationships. Makes informed purchasing recommendations which meet the needs of project budgets and schedule. Analyze market trends to identify areas where cost savings can be achieved when procuring project related resources.

Education and Experience:

• Minimum of high school education but higher education preferred.
• Experience: 5 years industrial procurement experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

• Devise and implement effective sourcing strategies to find cost-effective deals and suppliers.
• Identify and onboard strategic suppliers and advance business partnerships.
• Negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms.
• Purchasing Coordination: Prepare material purchase requests based on bill of materials. Finalize purchase details for orders and deliveries.
• Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and enhance effectiveness.
• Work closely with key stakeholders to ensure clarity on specifications and expectations.
• Anticipate unfavorable events through data analysis and prepare control strategies for supply contracts and agreements.
• Control spending and foster a culture of long-term savings in procurement costs.
• Track hardware assets order status, where they are located, and transmittal to outside third parties for installation.
• Plays a crucial role in optimizing buying processes. Maintains detailed procurement progress records.

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Proven working experience working in and with a procurement team.
• Proactively seeks solutions and tackles challenges head-on.
• Strong ability to maintain a detailed transparent records repository.
• Familiarity with sourcing and procurement techniques, as well as proficiency in “reading” the market.
• Talent in negotiations and networking.
• Handle customer complaints, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within the time limits; follow up to ensure resolution.
• Aptitude in decision-making and working with numerical data. Research strategic vendor partnerships.
• Strong leadership capabilities.

Travel required:

• As required, expected to be 10%

Work Authorization/Other Requirements:

• Proof of eligibility to work in the country where the position is located is required.
• Maintain a valid driver's license.
• Fit for Duty at all times.
