GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
The candidate will work closely with the Operations department to ensure all products being manufactured will meet customer expectations and all customer requirements. The candidate will be responsible for inspecting products and materials to ensure they are free from defects or deviations from customer specifications.
RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct inspection of machined parts and assemblies per blueprint, manufacturing plan, and customer's specifications and requirements using various types of inspection equipment
• Perform step-by-step first article and start-up, in-process, and final inspections on all parts made and manufactured on site prior to any other outside services
• Monitor quality process execution in production area and verify machine operator in-process checks
• Ensure parts are being manufactured in accordance with the company's Quality Management System
• Ensure all parts are inspected, documented, and put in the proper location in a timely manner
• Ensure calibrations are completed on time and documented
• Ensure all quality documentation is filled out as required
• Initiate and follow up on nonconformances as required
• Assist with material movement as relates to non-conforming product
• Report all unusual conditions or results, unsafe conditions, broken or out of calibration equipment, procedures not in effect to Quality Management
• Maintain a clean work environment to eliminate potential product contamination
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to read and understand basic and GDT mechanical drawings
• Previous experience with inspection and test equipment: calipers, optical microscopes, micrometers, pin gauges, and CMM
• Complete understanding of manufacturing processes and quality principles
• Strong technical and analytical skills
• Computer skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• Knowledge of ISO Standards or willingness and/or ability to learn
• At least 2 years of manufacturing or quality control experience or a degree in related field
• Knowledge of manufacturing and quality principles
• Ability to work independently without direct supervision
