Job Title: Studio Manager of San Francisco Based Yoga Studio

Work hours: Part/Full-time as needed

The Studio Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of studio operations. This includes staffing, client communication management, services programming, workshops events, digital community marketing, studio website online business listings, sales writing weekly newsletter/promotional campaigns, printed promotional materials, retail, and facilities.

Since its founding in 2009, The Pad Studios has provided a modern, community based yoga & wellness space in the Cow Hollow neighborhood of San Francisco. We are known for our warm and welcoming community, and our commitment to providing an intentional variety of yoga classes including Vinyasa Flow, Slow Flow & Restore, Yin, Pre-Natal, and more, as well as a vibrant 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training program.

As the Studio Manager, your influence, attitude, and leadership will help to steer the team toward this end goal - consistent top-tier service! Guided by a strong understanding of what falls under the Studio Manager’s responsibility and what falls under the responsibility of the Owner, we want the person stepping into this role to feel empowered to lead and make decisions. Being able to initiate, discern and problem solve are key traits necessary for success in this position.

Essential Functions:

1. Staffing: The Studio Manager plays an active role in the hiring process and is responsible for the recruiting, onboarding, training, and scheduling of all staff members. This includes the monitoring of attendance and performance, the delegation of responsibilities, as well as maintaining consistent staff communication.

2. Client Communication Management: The Studio Manager is responsible for handling and overseeing all client care, communication and discrepancy resolution. All clients are to be responded to in a timely manager, gracefully, and always with a YES attitude. Customer service is the most important aspect of this role, and the Studio Manager is responsible for training staff appropriately while leading by example.

3. Services Programming: The Studio Manager is responsible for overseeing, scheduling, creating, and monitoring all of the services and programs offered. This includes yoga classes, the Community Yoga Program, Teacher Training, Workshops Events, private yoga bookings, studio rentals, and partnerships. The Studio Manager is the first point of contact for Instructors, and will be the eyes and ears for the Studio Owners.

4. Workshops Events: The Studio Manager is responsible for carrying out all aspects of yoga workshops and special event planning, as well as all relevant digital marketing, studio signage, and website updates.

5. Digital Community Marking: The Studio Manager is responsible for overseeing, creating, maintaining, and collaborating with Studio Owner and the Social Media Manager to ensure that all social media outlets have robust, current and relevant content. The Studio Manager is also responsible for curating and delivering studio announcements as well as bi-monthly Newsletters to the community at large.

6. Studio Website Online Business Listings: The Studio Manager is responsible for consistently updating the website and online business listing so that all studio related information, services and offerings, and all promotional materials are current, relevant and consistent across all platforms. This includes the following platforms: MindBody, WordPress, Google My Business, Moz Local, Google Maps, Apple Maps, Yelp, Linktree, and Linkedin.

7. Sales Promotional Campaigns: The Studio Manager is responsible for working with the Owner to establish all current, competitive and appropriate price points for all services and offerings. The Studio Manager will also be responsible for working with the Owner to spearhead seasonal promotional periods to increase revenue. It is the Studio Manager’s duty to ensure that staff are well informed, and talking to the students about memberships and package options.

8. Printed Promotional Materials: The Studio Manager is responsible for creating, printing, and displaying all promotional materials throughout the studio. The Studio Manager may choose to assign any aspect of this process to a Front Desk Associate.

9. Retail:The Studio Manager is responsible for ordering retail, displaying and pricing all items, as well as maintaining the inventory both in MindBody and in storage. The Manager also is responsible for training staff on product knowledge, how to locate and restock sold items, including how to locate and sell products in Mindbody.

10.Facilities: The Studio Manager is responsible for ensuring that the studio, all the facilities, electronics, amenities, and rooms are clean, stocked, organized, in working condition, and safe.

Experience & Requirements:

● Lives in the San Francisco Bay Area upon application.

● Minimum of two years experience in management or leadership position (hospitality, sales, marketing, customer service). Those with fitness/health/yoga center or small scale, high-end, operation (boutique, spa, salon, lulu lemon) experience will be given preference. ● Has a customer centric approach to business and a YES attitude.

● Is professional, resourceful, consistent and takes initiative.

● Excellent time management, project management, organizational skills.

● Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

● Desire to learn, grow and be coached.

● Proficient with Macs and Google Suite.

● Available to work nights and weekends periodically, as needed.

Preferred:

● Passionate about yoga, wellness and community.

● 200-hour RYT.

● Experience building, training and maintaining loyal teams.

● Undergraduate / Bachelor’s degree.

Experienced with:

○ Mindbody

○ Zoom

○ Mailchimp

○ WordPress (to make updates to our website)

○ Google My Business, Google Analytics, SEO
