Victim Assistance Program (VAP), the foremost expert in crisis intervention for victims of crime and trauma in Northeast Ohio, is currently seeking a full-time Marketing Coordinator. Candidates must be based in Northeast Ohio; this role offers remote work opportunities with some in-office requirements. REQUIREMENTS

• Victim Assistance Program strives to provide all our employees with the right tools for success, we just need you to come with a few things in your toolbox.
• Bachelors in English, Journalism, Marketing or related preferred.
• Pass a federal and state criminal background check throughout the duration of employment.
• Current familiarity of Northeast Ohio required, Summit County preferred.
• Possess the ability to champion culturally competent ideals within the agency and to community stakeholders.
• Experience in community outreach to underserved populations preferred.
• Creativity
• Attention to detail.
• Strong copywriting skills.
• Extremely proficient in a wide variety of computer applications with an emphasis on multimedia products.

As a member of the Advancement team, the Marketing Coordinator is responsible for building and maintaining the agency’s positive image by developing, coordinating, and executing marketing campaigns to increase awareness of the agency’s core services and needs through various creative and strategic marketing & outreach efforts across the Country.

We have worked tirelessly to build a great infrastructure of a strong constituent base, established multimedia platforms, and poses fun & creative resources to allow us to market to the masses. Now that the foundation is built, under the direction of the Director of Advancement, you will use your creativity and marketing expertise alongside VAP’s Digital Media Coordinator (videographer/editor) to strategically advance our organization as we begin our 52nd year of service.

Marketing

• Maintain cross department awareness of activities/needs/achievements to strengthen internal and external cohesion through various communication channels.
• Assist in creating VAP’s annual marketing plan using a wide variety of mediums.
• Engage in data analysis to creatively identify and implement strategies to increase agency awareness.
• Design, proof, and edit professionally branded, visually appealing, culturally competent, printed, and digital marketing content for internal and external agency needs.
• Manage, track, schedule, and oversee the strategic distribution and access of direct mail, online, and content marketing appeals and campaigns including but not limited to SEO optimization.
• Liaise with print vendors to ensure accurate turnaround time.
• Author and distribute press releases.

In conjunction with the Digital Media Coordinator, coordinate efforts to continuously obtain photographs and video clips of agency activities, accolades, and services to produce trendy, timely, and targeted marketing materials (posts, articles, blogs, campaigns).

All employees of Victim Assistance Program must appreciate the potential physical and psychological impact VAP employment may have on their personal lives.

Employees may witness, observe, smell, and hear disturbing sights and sounds including but not limited to crime scenes, pictures of abuse, and recordings of violent incidents. Secondly, employees may be exposed to situations which could potentially result in physical harm from victims and/or aggressors. Both are concerns primarily of direct service victim advocates, but any employee can be exposed to these situations from time to time. In addition, all employees of Victim Assistance Program are required to respond 24/7/365 to the needs of victims of extreme and catastrophic incidents impacting Summit County.

Pay: $39,998.00 - $44,990.00 per year
