Unity Family Services Inc. is Hiring a Program Director Near Indiana, PA

Overview:

The Family Based Program Director is a clinical and administrative role. The Family Based Program Director provides oversight to the client families and clinical supervision to the therapeutic teams in the Family Based Program.

The Family Based Program Director must efficiently operate the Family Based program and follow all company policies and procedures as well as ensure the program meets all regulatory standards of MCO, OMHSAS, and all other federal, state, county, and local agencies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides weekly supervision and respective documentation (individual, team, and group)
  • Maintains 24/7 availability for clinical and administrative supervision for staff and clients
  • Conducts in-field supervisions, supplemental supervisions, and trainings for staff development
  • Supports staff and clients with linkages including recovery support meetings, ISPT meetings, CASSP meetings, and discharge planning support
  • Monitors client safety and ensures proper mandated reporting, suicidal and homicidal ideation assessment, and incident reporting is completed for risk management
  • Reviews staff schedules, encounters, and session notes in the EHR (electronic health record) daily
  • Reviews and signs staff progress notes, treatment plans, and other clinical documentation daily
  • Supports agency in preparation for annual program audits or site visits
  • Runs necessary reports in EHR system to ensure client records are complete, accurate, and in compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Manages referrals including collaboration with management team, family, and referral source and completion of proper documentation for insurance authorization and case assignment
  • Manages all program client insurance authorizations and reviews
  • Assists clients and coordinates with additional insurance needs including NON-PAR, out of network contracts, county client contracts, and other insurance concerns
  • Attends monthly WPIC ESFT Director’s Meetings and participates in and supports staff to prepare for in core training and competency reviews
  • Files and tracks WPIC training certificates, supervision logs, timesheets and other items in the program’s management binders
  • Office needs including car mileage tracking, ordering office supplies, petty cash management, and FSF fund and expense report reviews.
  • Reviews, calls, and interviews potential staff candidates
  • Conducts new employee on-boarding and training as well as performance evaluations and productivity reviews for current staff
  • Attends additional management and consultation meetings as needed

Minimum Qualifications:

The Program Director shall have one of the follow­ing in accordance with PA OMHSAS Family-Based Regulations:

A graduate degree in psychiatry, psychology, social work, nursing, rehabilitation, education, or a graduate degree in the field of human services plus at least 3 years direct care experience with children or adolescents in the following Child and Adolescent Service System Program (CASSP) systems including 2 years of supervisory experience in any program of the CASSP system OR A bachelor's degree with a major in a field of human service plus at least 3 years direct care experience with children and adolescents in a CASSP system pro­gram if under the supervision of a qualifying clinical consultant as outlined in the regulations.

Specific Position Requirements Include:

  • In-depth knowledge of Eco-Systemic Structural Family Therapy and Family Systems Theory and practice.
  • In-depth knowledge of DSM V and diagnosis (limited to scope of degree, expertise, and license).
  • In-depth knowledge of normal and abnormal developmental theory and life stages.
  • Mandatory minimum 2 years supervisory experience.
  • Proven skill in family assessment and individual, family, and group therapy.
  • Ability to teach therapists to understand and communicate psychoeducation to families on areas such as parenting, diagnoses, and trauma.
  • Ability to work effectively with personnel from other professional settings, , disciplines and social service agencies, and lead joint treatment planning meetings.
  • Excellent organizational skills, effective time management, computer skills and experience with electronic health records systems.
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of community agencies, programs and services along with proven skills in linkage to community resources.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in unstructured settings including client homes, community, and offices.
  • Ability to travel by auto (overnight only for training/marketing and is optional).
  • Occasional lifting of 10-20 pounds.
  • Sufficient vision acuity for routine driving, computer use, and moderate to heavy reading and writing responsibilities.
  • Position requires walking, sitting, and standing at moderate levels.
  • Position requires a high level of all forms of communication skills including written, verbal and listening skills.

Requirements of Continued Employment:

  • Valid PA driver’s license and auto insurance required.
  • FBI Clearance and Act 33/34 Clearances and passing of a mandatory drug test(s)
  • Ability to comply with regulations and company policies and procedures.
  • Completion of annual trainings in HIPAA, Fraud, Waste, and Abuse Prevention, Cultural Competency, IT Security, and Sexual Harassment Prevention in the Workplace.
  • Responsible for ensuring Family Based Program meets and continues to meet all regulatory, licensing, and credentialing requirements of DPW, each county, and the MCO.
