What You Will Be Doing: * Building and maintaining Windows desktops on both thick client hardware and within a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure leveraged by thin client hardware. * Providing support to multiple globally dispersed WAN connected sites. * Supporting solutions throughout the IT project lifecycle, to include refining requirements, creating design documentation, creating installation instructions and deployment plans, and providing O&M support. * Designing and defining system architecture for Windows desktop solutions and client-based applications. * Supporting the integration of the Windows desktop with a variety of enterprise services. * Evaluating desktop software and hardware technologies and determining the most efficient method to leverage the technology within the customer's network environment. * Administering, operating, managing, and maintaining components for Windows desktop deployments to thick clients and VDI. * Reviewing completion and implementation of system additions and/or enhancements and making recommendations to management and/or clients. * Planning and directing upgrades of Windows desktop operating system version and supporting infrastructure and related components. Must Have: * MUST HAVE a Current and Active Top Secret SCI with CI Polygraph, as the customer is NOT sponsoring clearances. * BA/BS (or equivalent experience). * 10 years of experience. * CompTIA Security or similar for IAT Level II DoD 8570 certification. * Experience with Microsoft Windows desktop design engineering and implementation options. * Experience with Microsoft deployment methodology options to include Microsoft Deployment Toolkit and System Center Configuration Manager. * Experience with engineering client software installation packages for deployment to Windows desktops and/or inclusion into VDI master disk images. * Experience Citrix VDI technology. * Experience with maintaining Windows desktop systems for mobile users on laptop hardware to include use of BitLocker. * Experience with anti-virus and malware product integration within a Windows desktop configuration. * Experience with Group Policy Management. * Experience with Windows DNS and DHCP. * Experience with Windows Server 2016 and 2019. * Experience with Microsoft Windows automation scripting with PowerShell or other scripting languages. * Experience with managing work tasks via tools such as JIRA and ServiceNow. * System configuration based on security guidelines such as DISA STIGs.
