Training and development
The successful candidate will be accountable for:
Maintaining state regulations for licensing and sanitation
Planning and implementing lesson plans
Interacting and supervising children
Daily cleaning and maintenance of the classrooms and common areas as necessary - trash removal and disposal from the classrooms as well
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and education requirements:
Experience in childcare, with knowledge of both child development and the use of developmental curriculum.
2 years of experience in a Licensed Child Care Center.
Associates degree in Early Child Development or related field REQUIRED.
Must pass state of NC requirements: fingerprint and criminal background check, TB test, annual physical examination.
Pediatric First Aid and CPR Training and ITS/SIDS Training or willing to obtain within 6 weeks of hire.
Strong organizational skills and high motivation.
Ability to relate well to parents, children, and staff.
Flexibility in order to meet daily challenges of working in a childcare environment and to be available during varied work hours as needed.
