Biological Materials Production Technician 1
TechLab, Inc. develops, manufactures and distributes medical diagnostic tests. Our company places emphasis on science and collaboration with Universities. We are looking to add a Biological Materials Production Technician to our team.
An employee in this position can expect to perform the following duties:
· Perform basic microbiology procedures, cell culture, and gram staining
· Growth and maintenance of parasite organism culture
· Screen biological materials for reactivity
· Purify antibodies using various chromatography techniques
· Conduct regular calibrations and validations on equipment
· Receive and maintain the chemical inventory
· Make buffers, culture media and other reagents
· Clean and sterilize laboratory glassware
· Perform rehydration and dispensing of raw materials
· Conduct investigations for non-conformances and defects
· Perform peer review on completed batch records and other documents
· Work on tasks set by Biological Materials Production Team Leader and Biological Materials Production Manager
