Description

We are looking for a responsible individual for the position of Bilingual Receiving Clerk to receive, inspect and record incoming shipments of material from our customers. You will be responsible for checking the contents of incoming orders to ensure they match the packing lists/paperwork from customers.

A receiving clerk must have a great eye for detail, basic math skills, and be good at using and reading a tape measurer. Good communication and good clerical skills are a must. The goal is to ensure we receive and identify the correct incoming material and record them appropriately.

Responsibilities

• Receive shipments and sign paperwork upon receipt
• Unload small packages from incoming trucks
• Inspect contents to ensure they are undamaged
• Verify in-coming material according to packing lists (material type, quantity, quality, etc.)
• Label deliveries and allocate them to their designated area
• Maintain accurate records

Requirements

• Bilingual (Spanish/English) is preferred
• Steel knowledge and experience is a plus
• Basic math
• Excellent organizational skills
• Great communication 
• Detail oriented

Physical and Environmental Considerations

• Work is mostly completed outside 
• Frequent lifting of material up to 20 pounds
• Occasional lifting of material up to 50 pounds
• Frequent bending, squatting, kneeling
• Frequent standing and walking 
• Must be able to endure seasonal outdoor temperatures
