Overview:

Virtual Medical Assistants partner with Physicians to ensure patients receive comprehensive quality healthcare by researching/reviewing electronic health records, scheduling tests and/or follow up visits, assisting patients in completing various health assessments, and ensuring all necessary patient data is retrieved and documented in a timely manner.

This is a part time remote position. While the initial training would be on-site, day shift hours, the schedule can be flexible once trained. Hours per week would not exceed 20.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Access and review various insurance dashboards for quality healthcare related information;
• Populate patient health screening data in Electronic Health Record System;
• Schedule / Re-Schedule follow-up and/or Annual Wellness Visits;
• Assist patients with completion of Annual Wellness Visit Questionnaires and document in Electronic Health Record System;
• Retrieve and import reports/records from other Providers as needed;
• Other job related duties as assigned.

Education/ Experience

• HS Diploma / equivalent required;
• Previous experience as a medical assistant, medical receptionist, or customer service experience strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Advanced Computer Skills are required. Specifically, experience utilizing MS Word, MS Excel, Adobe (PDF) Forms, Electronic Health Record Systems (Patient Records), Practice Management Systems (Patient Scheduling);
• Excellent Customer Service Skills are required (Telephone Etiquette);
• Analytical thinking skills are required;
• Exceptional Time Management and Organizational skills are required.
• Ability to work remotely requires reliable high speed internet access.
