ROGERS, LOVELOCK & FRITZ, INC. is Hiring a Project Construction Contract Administrator Near Orlando, FL

The Project Construction Contract Administrator will be familiar with contract documents and apply established RLF processes and procedures on various construction contract administration activities. The Construction Contract Administrator, while assisting the Project Managers, serves as the primary contact between the Owner and the General Contractor/Construction Manager during the construction of the project. Reports to Director of Construction Administration.

In this role you will:

  • Administer, communicate, and document the activities from the construction contract throughout the construction phase.
  • Display working knowledge of contract requirements, understand the scope of services during the construction phase, including conditions of the design and construction contracts.
  • Interface with the design team to provide clear directions regarding the interpretation of the contract documents.
  • Interact professionally with those associated with the construction phase of the project including Owners, Architects, Designers, General Contractors, as well as local authorities having jurisdiction.
  • Perform specific site observation tasks such as overall construction progress review, roofing installation, above ceiling reviews, substantial completion punch list preparation and back check, and final completion review to document construction activities.
  • Review shop drawings, RFI’s, Change Orders and pay applications, and review closeout documents including record documents, warranties, operation, and maintenance manuals.
  • Attend pre-installation meetings, perform site observations, and other critical site visits and prepares miscellaneous reports and meeting minutes to support the project documentation requirements.
  • Perform QA/QC reviews of design documents.
  • Other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • High school Diploma or General Education Development (GED). Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field a plus.
  • 10 years’ experience in field observation and project administration or Construction Management.
  • Previous experience with a Design/Architectural firm preferred.
  • Previous experience in Healthcare, DOD, and/or other government contractor projects preferred.
  • Ability to independently perform most tasks without instruction.
  • Thorough knowledge of construction.
  • Ability to work effectively with contractors and subcontractors to resolve challenges.
  • Experience with PDF software like Bluebeam or Adobe, specifically with markup experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Strong interpersonal, client service, and communications skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Physically able to navigate an active construction site with uneven terrain, bend/stoop, climb ladders, and scaffolding to accomplish construction reviews as necessary.

Amount of Travel Required:

This position will require occasional travel, some of which may be international.
