Job Description
We are seeking an Assembly Technician to support manufacturing and development of measurement equipment for the Semiconductor and Photovoltaic industries.
The position of Assembly Technician is based at Semilab SDI, Tampa, FL. The Assembly Technician will report to the Engineering Manager, who oversees specific tasks and work schedule.
Qualifications:
Preferred Candidates have ~ 5 years background experience in electromechanical assembly and manufacturing.
The position requires excellent communication skills in verbal and written English. It requires a highly self-motivated individual willing to take initiative in both solo and team work environments. The candidate should have the ability to work under pressure and tight timelines, the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-discipline environment, as well as possess strong problem solving abilities.
Additional Qualifications and Areas of Responsibilities shall include:
1. Candidates must have extensive experience in mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical assembly
2. Candidates must have extensive experience wiring and setting large scale industrial equipment including but not limited to interlock systems, AC power distribution, DC power distribution, emergency off systems, I/O electrical cabinets, etc.
3. Ability to read technical drawings
4. Proficient at PCB assembly and soldering including surface mount components
5. Proficient at soldering of electrical cabling and terminals
6. Ability to lift 50lbs
7. Domestic and International travel may be required up to ~10% of time
Compensation & benefits:
Compensation will be based off candidate skill level and will be hourly health / retirement benefits in accordance with Semilab-SDI policy.
