Looking for passionate Summer Camp Coding and Tech Teacher.

School-Connection is an after-school program and Summer Camp with campuses located in the cities of Walnut and Diamond Bar. Our teachers assist K-8th grade students with their school homework and prepare them for a successful academic experience. As part of our standardized curriculum, our programs also includes in-class teaching of supplemental materials in both math and English during the after school and Summer Camp program.

Job Qualification: We seek hardworking and resourceful individuals who are very detail-oriented, multi-taskers, reliable, responsible, organized and able to communicate effectively. As with all educational settings, such individuals must also possess strong academic performance, and be especially patient, firm, and caring in dealing with children. Sufficient training will be provided for successful applicants.

Responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

· Instructing students (5th – 8th grade) in a classroom setting.

· Lesson planning and designing Coding (Python) and Tech (Excel & Canva) curriculum for the Summer Camp Program.

· Traveling between our Diamond Bar and Walnut Campus.

Requirements:

• Have experience working with children.
• Have passion in technology and education.
• Majoring in Computer Science or CS related majors
• Be able to work at least M-Th 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm between our Walnut and Diamond Bar Campuses.
• Be available to work during our Summer Camp from June 10, 2024 - August 2, 2024.

BONUS points if you:

• Have experience teaching coding and tech.
• Have experience in a Summer Camp and/or after-school program.
• Have experience working in a classroom setting.
• Are able to teach Math and English subjects and are available to also work from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm.
• Are available to work during the 2024-2025 school year on Fridays from 3:00 – 6:00.

PAY: $20 - $30 depending on experience and performance.
