The Lead Installation Technician is responsible for the complete and satisfactory installation of residential HVAC equipment and accessories. Oversees the work of Assistant Installation Technician to ensure work is performed correctly, communicates with customers to answer questions, resolve problems, and provide complete customer satisfaction.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Install heating, air conditioning, and ventilation equipment, as well as accessories, per company standards/ requirements and manufacturer specifications.
- Performs limited diagnostics, as necessary, and keeps accurate documentation Maintains a clean work area and inspects the area for cleanliness after job completion.
- Communication with clients and customers
- Mentor the development of Assistant Installation Technician.
- Maintains company vehicle, ensuring cleanliness and organization, both inside and out.
- Must have a minimum of 3-5 years of verifiable residential installation work history.
- Knowledge of the fundamental operational functionality of residential heating, air conditioning, and ventilation equipment.
- Knowledge of the layout and installation requirements of residential duct work and fittings.
- Skilled in reading wiring diagrams and troubleshooting problems with electrical, refrigerant, and duct systems on residential HVAC equipment.
- Strong communication and customer service skills, including verbal, writing, and interpersonal skills.
- Must have appropriate trade tools.
- Valid driver's license, with a clean record.
- Ability to pass a background check and a drug screen.
- Ability to work outside, in crawlspaces and attics in extreme temperatures and various weather conditions.
- Ability to lift 100 pounds.
