Job Title: Medical Receptionist
Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in patients upon arrival, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries in a professional and courteous manner
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Verify patient insurance information and collect necessary co-pays or fees
- Maintain patient records and update information as needed
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Coordinate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient operations
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to maintain patient confidentiality
Experience:
- Previous experience working as a receptionist or in a customer service role is preferred
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures is a plus
- Proficient in using phone systems and basic computer skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload
