POSITION SUMMARY
The Grants Financial Manager has primary day-to-day responsibility for financial management and oversight of all federal and private restricted grants. This includes developing and revising grant budgets, preparing and submitting financial reports, analyzing allocable expenses and formulating projections, and ensuring compliance with all funder requirements and policies. The Grants Financial Manager will also collaborate closely with the CFO and Controller on the development of appropriate policies and systems to manage grant activity and reporting and will help ensure integrity of all financial transactions and reporting in the context of grant awards.
Positions at this level typically report to a senior director and/or executive team member and require advanced knowledge and experience as well as strong management capabilities. Incumbents are required to exercise latitude and independent judgement within their scope of work and usually require minimal oversight. Incumbents generally have five or more years of experience in their discipline and a bachelor’s degree or the equivalent, as well as substantive experience at this level.
