JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Micro Lab Coordinator Position Reports To: Assistant Quality Assurance Manager FLSA Status: Hourly $20.00-21.15 Position Purpose Summary: The Micro Lab Coordinator is responsible for organizing, sample preparation and documentation of finished product and environmental monitoring samples. Principal Job Responsibilities :
Serve the needs of customers and all stakeholders.
Adhere to all Food Safety and GMP Policies
Prepare finished product samples according to specification requirements for testing.
Ensures Certificate of Analysis conformity for all outbound and inbound products
Analyze and report testing results including hold and release of product.
Ensures regular environmental monitoring testing is completed.
Maintain organized documentation and logs associated with finished product and environmental testing and results.
Drive continuous improvement with environmental monitoring programs.
Participates in specification review for micro analysis requirements.
Ensures annual crop year testing requirements are executed.
Serves as primary contact with 3rd party laboratories.
Maintain lab supply inventory.
Train new and existing employees on all aspects of finished product testing and environmental monitoring programs
Other related duties as assigned from Quality Management

Education and Experience:
Degree or equivalent: High School Diploma
Years of experience: (preferred)
1 year food manufacturing
1 year of laboratory environment
Certification: (preferred)
HACCP
PCQI
Physical Demands of the Position: While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to stand, sit, walk, climb, stoop, for extended periods of time; ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Work Environment: While performing duties of this position, the employee will be exposed to wet and slippery floors, occasionally moving mechanical parts and vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud; variable temperatures of both heat and cold.
