Back Office Medical Assistant
Duties:
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies
- Take patient medical histories and record vital signs
- Administer injections and medications as directed by healthcare providers
- Perform basic laboratory tests, such as urine tests and blood draws
- Schedule patient appointments and manage patient records
- Assist with patient education and provide instructions for at-home care
- Handle administrative tasks, such as answering phone calls, filing paperwork, and managing medical records
Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of a medical assistant training program preferred
- Previous experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting is a plus
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic understanding of healthcare procedures
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
