Muscatine County is Hiring a Public Safety Dispatcher Near Muscatine, IA

The Muscatine County Joint Communications Center (MUSCOM) is taking applications for the position of Public Safety Dispatcher. Job duties include, but are not limited to: answering emergency and non-emergency phone calls and processing requests for assistance for law enforcement, fire and medical services. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, keyboarding/typing experience and ability to obtain and maintain CPR certification and Emergency Medical Dispatch certification. Experience in telephone or radio operations and previous dispatch experience is preferred, but not required. Must be available to work days, nights, holidays, weekends and on 12 hours shifts. Starting hourly wage is $22.44 (negotiable, if experienced). Applicant orientation and testing will be scheduled after the deadline and are mandatory to move on in the hiring process.
