Mess Hall Art Experiences is looking for a Studio Manager to join our creative, outgoing team.

This position is responsible for managing the Studio staff and the Studio space, primarily during our public and private events. The Studio Manager will be responsible for ensuring daily event operations run smoothly to maximize sales, profitability and minimize cost, in addition to motivating studio staff to provide high quality art experiences to our customers.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

*Operates and Manages studio in accordance with manuals, procedures, processes and standards set forth by Mess Hall. *Trains and manages studio staff and provides continuing education. *Provides staff with timely feedback, both formal and informal. *Communicates effectively with the staff and encourages communication within the team. *Drive sales and motivate staff to provide exceptional art experiences. *Manage payments for parties and events through Fareharbor and Square. *Utilize our booking system (Fareharbor) to schedule and monitor events and create weekly event sheets for the team. *Place orders for cupcakes with our bakery and pick up for parties *Monitor emails to respond to customer inquiries, booking confirmation replies and to receive incoming bookings and ensure add on items are accounted for and questions are responded to. *Respond to emails regarding donations, forward custom party inquiries to owner. *Manage studio inventory in the physical space as well as tracking and reporting usage using Square and Google sheets, ensuring supplies never run out, communicating with the owner to ensure supplies are ordered in a timely manner. *Work hours will vary and will include evenings and weekends with daytime hours when needed to cover events, event preparation, camps, inventory, cleaning and other tasks as needed *Present for all or most large events, parties, camps, away events (local) and special programs *Must have flexible availability to meet event scheduling needs *Must be able to pick up a shift with short notice. *Some artistic skills are necessary as you may be teaching classes and camps and creating samples. *Responds to customers’ queries and complaints. *Continual clean up and maintenance of the studio daily. *Ability to speak and instruct in front of a large group. *Ability to host all events proficiently with a high level of customer engagement. *Exceptional customer service skills are a MUST!!

JOB REQUIREMENTS

*Must represent Mess Hall in a friendly and professional manner on the phone and in person. *Varying schedule with hours primarily evenings and weekends with some daytime hours, depending on event needs. *Must be able to pick up a shift with short notice. *Some artistic skills are needed as you will be helping customers create their masterpieces. *Must be able to host events for groups of up to 30 to 40 guests. *Must be reliable and dedicated with strong interpersonal skills and work ethic. *Ability to work in a fast paced and highly engaging environment with emphasis on strong customer service. *We are family oriented, and must like children. *Must be outgoing, friendly and comfortable working with a variety of different people. *Standing, bending and cleaning up after people are required, must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. *Must be outgoing, friendly and comfortable working with a variety of different people. *Previous work experience in customer service with management and leadership experience highly preferred. *Pay based upon experience. *This is an hourly position with hours ranging from 25-40 hours per week primarily during evenings and weekends with some daytime hours. *Must be flexible and able to adapt to scheduling needs based on bookings as we are not open to the public without reservations. *Must have reliable transportation. *Must be 21 years or older *Flexibility to work at Hopkins and Coon Rapids Locations depending on business needs

Available shifts and compensation: We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation is $20.00 - $21.00/hour.
