Merz Therapeutics is Hiring a Director, SAP Order to Cash Applications Near Raleigh, NC

Merz is are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sr. Manager/ Director to lead the SAP Order-to-Cash Applications team; oversee the demand, design, implementation, enhancement, and continuous improvement of our SAP and Reporting solutions. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in SAP, particularly with S/4 HANA implementations, and possess the leadership skills necessary to guide a global team toward successful project completion and ongoing optimization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Strategy and Leadership
  • Develop and execute the Order-to-Cash (OTC) Commercial strategy, ensuring alignment with the company's overall business objectives, through strong business partnerships.
  • Lead and mentor a global team of SAP professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Provide strategic direction, governance, and oversight of SAP OTC, commercial integrations and reporting initiatives.
Solution Design and Process Optimization
  • Evaluate and optimize processes, leveraging SAP capabilities as well as 3rd party tools that integrate with SAP to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and implement best practices.
  • Assist with design of integrations with CRM solutions such as Salesforce and other 3rd party applications.
Vendor Selection, Implementation and Project Management
  • Lead small projects and participate in implementation of larger SAP projects, including planning, scoping, configuration, data migration, testing, validation, and go-live activities.
  • Manage process of selecting new solutions, RFP's, vendor demos and evaluations as well as supporting implementation.
  • Manage budget of internal resources and external resources.
Support and Compliance
  • Oversee the support and enhancement requests within OTC area. Coordinate activities with our third-party support organization to ensure adherence to expected service levels.
  • Ensure the SDLC and change control procedures are followed as well as the validation activities required for the GxP processes.
  • Ensure robust data integrity and governance processes are in place with the business.
Change Management
  • Lead change management efforts to ensure smooth transitions and adoption of the new SAP solutions.
  • Ensure implementation of training programs to enable end-users to maximize SAP's potential.
Education
  • Four-year degree in Computer Science / Information systems or related discipline.
Experience and Qualifications
  • 10 years' plus experience in SAP with a focus on Order to Cash as well as cross functional areas, with at least 4 years in a leadership role with direct reports
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and collaborate with external IT service providers and vendors
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA and migration projects from ECC to S/4HANA preferred
  • Experience with Commercial reporting preferred
  • Experience with integration with Salesforce.com preferred
  • Experience in global environments where BPML and template governance is enforced
  • Expertise in pharmaceutical or medical device industries preferred
Skills
  • Strong interpersonal, teamwork, organizational and workload planning skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to develop and visually present ideas and concepts to both IT, business stakeholders and C-level executives
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into functional and technical specification.
