Malor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the implementation of our integrated administrative solutions for colleges and universities. The Project Manager will manage and lead high-priority projects, which often require considerable resources and high levels of complex functional integration. Whatever the responsibilities, you’ll have lots of opportunity to make your impact at Malor.

Responsibilities include:

Leading multiple-solution programs or multiple projects through all phases of the Malor Implementation Methodology from initiation/planning through the execution and delivery of the contract concluding with project transition and close, ensuring a successful project.

Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with team members, client stakeholders, and peers.

Applying Project Management Knowledge Areas including Integration Management, Scope Management, Time Management, Cost Management, Quality Management, Human Resource Management, Communication Management, and Risk Management while controlling all aspects through effective Change Control. Maintain the Project Management Triple Constraint of time, cost, and scope for each project communicating the plan, roles, constraints, milestones, and critical path to all team members and project stakeholders.

Understanding and applying standard project management and delivery methodology and project tracking standards in order to build effective plans and deliver quality solutions.Scaling the project management role and deliverables based on the client contract and project classification tier.Translating customer’s business needs into project requirements.

Based on experience, anticipate and mitigate risks and identify opportunities.Leading project team status meetings to ensure the project milestones are met and dependencies are tracked.Managing activities of customer and resources to deliver a fully integrated solution.Acting as a shared point of contact between internal and external stakeholders. Provide proactively and timely coordinate and communicate project activities to all involved parties. Providing management with an articulate summary of project status.Facilitating discussions with appropriate leadership and key sponsors to negotiate key decisions related to the triple constraints (time, cost, scope) while maintaining excellent customer satisfaction.Building and maintaining positive professional relationships and functions as the change agent for customers.

Managing all resources when project turnaround situations occur. Lead cross-functional team resolutions to mitigate project risks and issues.Providing timely and constructive performance feedback regarding resources assigned to projects.Improving team dynamics and performance by building team cohesiveness through leadership, mentoring, and motivating in order to facilitate cooperation, ensure project efficiency, and boost morale.Ensuring various operational elements that affect financial and resource forecasts are on track; including but not limited to: Up-to-date accuracy of all project plans for the duration of the project, customer satisfaction, and accurate revenue recognition, which requires timely review and approval of time sheets, expense reports, billing request documents, and credit requests.Accomplishing project goals within a matrix-management environment.

Providing knowledge and expertise during the sales cycle (this may include the ability to sell the value of project management services).Identifying business growth opportunities by applying knowledge of higher education’s industry, business processes, and software products.Guiding and mentoring less experienced Project Managers.Developing methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining resultsDeveloping and maintaining cross functional relationships across the various Malor departments to facilitate and expedite issue resolution.

Awareness of and ability to successfully navigate and manage politically charged scenarios to the benefit of Malor and our clients stakeholders.Ability to provide leadership to all organizational levels, up to and including C-Level stakeholdersFlexibility to embrace and drive mid-project changes due to advancing technical or functional capabilitiesAbility to negotiate effectively

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Project Management Professional (PMP) or other industry-recognized certification required. Experience in the implementation of multi-year, multi-million dollar projects, including ERPs, required. 10 years of progressively challenging project management is required.

This is a remote position. Extensive travel is required. Relocation to be local to a client is possible. Experience working in a leadership position within higher education desirable. Experience leading a matrixed team that includes both company employees and client stakeholders is required.

Excellent verifiable customer references. MS Project proficiency required. Experience with solutions deployed both on premise and in the cloud required. Previous Experience with coordination of Global and Domestic Resources. Experience Managing Time and Material projects as well as Fixed Price projects. Strong knowledge of PMO governed and managed implementation projects. Strong change management and leadership skills. Strong business acumen, with a focus on financial performance at that project level. Proven track record of project and resource leadership. Experience with SharePoint or other knowledge management system
