Magic Coil Products is a successful and family-owned steel processing facility located in Butler, IN. We are currently in search of a well-rounded Maintenance Lead for 1st shift. The ideal candidate would have multi-craft skills including PLC, welding, mechanical and electrical experience. We are looking for someone with solid work history in Maintenance within a manufacturing setting, and preferably has experience as a Maintenance Lead. This person would have one Maintenance Tech reporting to them.

• 60" Braner slitter
• 72" Braner slitter
• 72" Red Bud multi-blanking line
• Forklifts
• Overhead Cranes

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES

• Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment & overhead cranes
• Repair all production equipment as needed
• Perform breakdown analysis
• Perform general housekeeping
• Upgrade production line with new equipment/technology
• Select and supervise outside contractors when needed
• Follow ISO requirements
• Documentation of work schedule and work tasks completed

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Expertise in troubleshooting and repair of flat-rolled steel processing equipment (i.e. slitter, multi-blank line)
• PLC (e.g., industrial maintenance, computer control systems, etc.)
• Lift truck repairs and preventative maintenance
• Overhead Crane inspection and repairs
• Mechanical systems (e.g., gear boxes, chains, sprockets, motors, seals, bearings)
• Hydraulic systems (high pressure cylinders, pumps, valves, troubleshooting)
• Pneumatics (solenoids, cylinders, motor brakes, reading, troubleshooting)
• Pneumatics/air compression (e.g., valves, cylinders, etc.)
• Gearing and gear boxes (rebuilds, ordering parts,)
• Pumps (e.g., troubleshooting, replacing seals/motors, understanding specs)Basic electrical systems (e.g., starters, fuses, contacts, relays)
• Fabrication and welding
• Product manuals (e.g., reading and applying knowledge to make repairs)
• Reading mechanical drawings (e.g., hydraulics, pneumatics)
