Overview: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality patient care and assisting healthcare professionals in a variety of clinical and administrative tasks. Responsibilities: - Assist healthcare professionals with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments - Take vital signs, record medical histories, and update patient information in electronic health records - Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers - Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for testing - Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies - Assist with scheduling appointments, coordinating referrals, and managing patient flow - Provide exceptional patient service by addressing inquiries, providing education, and ensuring patient comfort - Perform basic coding and billing tasks to support accurate documentation and reimbursement Skills: - Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology - Proficient in using electronic health records systems - Ability to accurately measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiratory rate - Experience with medication administration and proper dosage calculations - Familiarity with X-ray procedures and equipment operation is a plus - Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, healthcare professionals, and administrative staff - Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment - Strong organizational skills to maintain accurate patient records and ensure efficient clinic operations Requirements: - Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent training/experience - Current certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred but not required - Previous experience working in a hospital or clinical setting is highly desirable We offer competitive compensation based on experience along with comprehensive benefits packages including medical/dental/vision insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and opportunities for professional development.
