This assignment is anticipated to conclude by December 31st, 2024.

About the Position:

The Information Technology (IT) Specialist functions in support of the organization’s information systems and ensuring compliance within the agency. This includes database maintenance, updates, and overseeing computer software processes. The IT Specialist is tasked with installation, evaluation, and continual improvement of IT systems, showcasing expertise in IT support. Working across various departments, the IT Specialist collaborates extensively on computer, software, and network systems development.

This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the Cal-AIM program and requires strong technical skills, a customer-centric approach, and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.


Core Duties:

  • Support Cal-AIM Program (20 hours/week):
    • Resolve support tickets using Jira Service Management
    • Handle procurement, provisioning, and tracking/accounting of devices and equipment (e.g., Dell, Amazon)
    • Address hardware issues, including repair and replacement
    • Troubleshoot software issues
    • Manage SaaS accounts (e.g., Adobe)
    • Conduct user training and promote information security awareness
    • Manage user access and authentication services (e.g., Microsoft 365/Entra, MFA, MDM, Endpoint Management, Duo)
    • Coordinate third-party support for devices and equipment, including remote assistance, product repair, and replacement (e.g., MSP, Verizon, Dell, Amazon, Apple)

  • Provide Support to LifeSTEPS Staff (4 hours/week):
    • Extend support services to LifeSTEPS staff, covering all mentioned responsibilities.
    • Adhere to organization practices and acquire knowledge of systems
    • Participate in other PATH cited/Cal-AIM program projects as needed
    • Assist IS Manager/IS Team with new and ongoing projects
  • Associates Degree in Computer Science or another IT related field
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in an IT environment
  • Proficient in Windows OS and Microsoft 365 administration
  • Experience with spam filter and email monitoring
  • Familiarity with asset tracking and endpoint management
  • Ability to provide support for mobile devices, computers, and laptops
  • Proficiency in application/software setup and troubleshooting
  • Remote service desk experience is desirable
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for the degree
