Your role:

As we grow, we are looking to add a resourceful Billing and Collection Specialist to help us uphold our reputation for excellence.

Your responsibilities:
Our everyday assignments are equally challenging, varied, and rewarding. You can expect a typical week to include tasks such as:

  • Client Communication: Serve as a vital point of contact for maintaining and enhancing our commitment to exceptional customer service
  • Collaboration with Legal Teams: Collaborate closely with our attorneys to stay informed about the progress of each client's case. This includes forecasting and collecting retainer balances for accurate financial management
  • Financial Performance Goals: Strive to achieve both strong financial performance and top-tier customer service according to established weekly and monthly targets
  • Payment Facilitation: Employ innovative strategies to inspire prompt and complete payments from clients
  • Debt Management: Meticulously track and recover outstanding debts through various communication channels, including phone, mail, internet, and in-person interactions
  • Resolution Expertise: Effectively resolve overdue payments and outstanding balances while maintaining a high level of professionalism
  • Transaction Accuracy: Process payments and refunds with precision and attention to detail
  • Billing & Credit Issue Resolution: Address and resolve billing and credit issues promptly to ensure smooth financial transactions
  • Record Keeping: Establish and update client accounts, maintaining accurate records of retainer balances, payments, credits, and collection activities

Your qualifications:
At JC Law, we measure character along with credentials. But for you to contribute immediately to this role; your experience should include:

  • Proven experience in Account Receivable Management, including billing & collection responsibilities
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills for effective engagement with attorneys, clients, and management
  • Strong customer service capabilities, including negotiation, conflict resolution, and professional phone conduct
  • Comprehensive understanding of core accounting and finance procedures
  • Familiarity with diverse collection techniques
  • Proficiency in MS Office/Office 365, accounting software, and billing platforms
  • Demonstrated organizational excellence, adept at prioritization and multitasking
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities, ensuring clear and concise interactions

Compensation:

  • $60,000-$75,000/annually
  • Yearly pay raises
