Lea & Braze Engineering is looking for a Survey Technician with experience in preparing topographic and ALTA surveys for land development projects. Partnering with the Production Manager and other office personnel to prepare detailed drawings, maps and exhibits from sketches, point data, specifications, and written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities:

• Provide drafting support to create maps and drawings for land surveying projects, including topographic surveys, ALTA/NSPS surveys and exhibit maps
• Plot field data to produce accurate topographic maps to reflect existing conditions including contours, natural features, roads, buildings, drainage courses, grade breaks, fences and other planimetric items
• Work with project management and survey team to meet company standards, timelines and budgets

Experience & Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of AutoCAD drafting experience required
• Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD including working with points and surfaces, Civil 3D is a plus (will train in Civil 3D)
• Working knowledge of principles and practices of land surveying is a plus

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail – accuracy is a must-have for this role
• High degree of organizational skills – able to self-manage workload and schedules
• Ability to multi-task while balancing priorities and meeting deadlines
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
