Iroquois Memorial Hospital & Resident Home is Hiring a Laboratory Director Near Watseka, IL
We are currently seeking a compassionate, enthusiastic, and patient-centered Laboratory Director.
Summary
The Laboratory Director plays a vital role in the overall safety of the laboratory and is responsible for managing the daily operation of the laboratory. The Laboratory Director takes responsibility for all aspects of the Outpatient Laboratory, Laboratory, and Outreach Laboratory.
Competencies
- Manage laboratory processes; present technical information; manage and report Proficiency Testing: Oversee equipment maintenance and quality control, staff training; Analyze results and instrumentation logs and related information: Inform staff and peers when indicated; Has an in-depth knowledge of Quality Focus, Laboratory Testing and Methodologies, the Laboratory Environment regulations, and technical requirements.
- Manage and prepare schedules for Laboratory personnel.
- Provide leadership, management, evaluation and training to all laboratory employees. Design, develop and implement Laboratory training programs.
- Supervise workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure high productivity and high technical integrity.
Required Education and Experience
- A 4-year Bachelor's degree in Applied Science, Biology, Biochemistry, or other health and science fields.
- Certification from a laboratory registry provider (ASCP, AAB, AMT etc.)

Iroquois Memorial Hospital is a 25 bed hospital located in Watseka, Illinois. The hospital facility is comprised of clinical and diagnostic services which are dedicated to providing high quality health care services to the community. These services include but are not limited to an Emergency Room, full service OR suites, an inpatient care unit, therapy services, advanced medical imaging, Home Health, and Hospice Care. The hospital operates rural health clinics in Watseka, IL, Gilman, IL, Milford, IL, Saint Anne, IL and Kentland, IN. The hospital also operates a skilled nursing facility, Iroquois Resident Home, which is attached to the hospital property.
