Job Summary

Operates company vehicle for the safe and efficient delivery or pick up of supplies, products, materials and various packages. Provides courteous and efficient delivery and collection of items and performs related customer service functions.

Essential Functions

*Operates company vehicle and safely transports and collects company supplies, product, material to and from specified locations in a timely manner.

*Maintains travel log to record work hours, travel-time and locations traveled to provide accurate time records of the company vehicle's coming and goings. Accountable for timely reporting of overages, shortages, damages and delays.

*Performs routine vehicle maintenance and regular washing and cleaning of the company vehicle.

*Ability to utilize maps, GPS systems and/or handheld device for routing or delivery information.

*Safely adjusts travel routes to avoid traffic congestion or road construction.

*Ensures the company vehicle is always parked in areas that permit parking in order to avoid towing.

*Reports any accidents, injuries, and vehicle damage to management by following JA protocol.

*Maintain a "good standing" driving record as per James Avery's Company Driver Policy.

*Adhere to James Avery's Company Driver Policy and Safety Rules to ensure a safe driving and working environment.

Minimum Qualifications

*Must have valid State Driver's License and be able to meet James Avery's driving requirements.

*Ability to safely lift, load and deliver items up to 50lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance.

*Excellent communication and decision making skills.

*Ability to work a flexible schedule including holidays, weekends and evenings.

*Ability to travel to various work locations.

*Performs other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

*Courier and/or delivery experience.

*Demonstrated skills in adaptability, dependability and excellent courier/delivery methods.

*Knowledge of road safety regulations.

*Thorough knowledge of local service area.
