Gold's Gym - Amarillo is seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance/Janitorial Person to join our team. You will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of our facilities as well as overall cleanliness. Full or part-time.
Responsibliities
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Perform general repairs that do not require a specialized technician. Examples may include repairing drywall, painting, replacing ceiling tiles, repairing doors, repaining floors, other building fixtures and grounds upkeep as needed. Maintaining gym equipment, pool and spa’s.
- Upholding the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and professionalism at all times.
- Performing repairs, replacing parts and preventative maintenance tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
- When necessary coordinate with vendors for regular preventive maintenance or repairs.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals to perform required maintenance and service of gym equipment.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools in performing duties.
- Scheduling and conducting routine inspections to identify maintenance issues.
- Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, including inventory, and equipment maintenance schedules.
- Collaborating with other departments to coordinate maintenance efforts and minimize disruptions.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Proven experience in maintenance.
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Work individually or as part of a team to complete repair and maintenance tasks with minimal supervision.
- Organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy objects and perform tasks requiring manual labor.
- Promote teamwork in the department to ensure a positive overall customer experience and positive work environment.
- Punctuality and good attendance are imperative
