EVENT SERVER

SUMMARY

The Event Server plays a pivotal role in upholding the club's reputation for impeccable service during events. From setup to breakdown, the server ensures that each guest is catered to with precision, warmth, and genuine care.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Warmly greet members and guests, assisting with seating when necessary.
• Diligently set up banquet areas, tables, and serving stations in line with BEOs and club standards.
• Skillfully prepare and serve beverages.
• Serve food and beverages in accordance with established standards.
• Proactively anticipate and cater to guests' needs.
• Maintain pristine cleanliness in both front and back-of-house areas.
• Efficiently clear tables between courses and after guests' departure, ensuring silverware is ready for the next course.
• Complete all assigned side tasks and stock stations as needed.
• Collaborate with bussers and stewards, ensuring dishes are correctly placed in the stewarding area.
• Oversee the event breakdown, managing linens, equipment, and furniture to prepare for subsequent events.
• Perform any additional duties as directed by managers to fulfill the club's obligations.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Possession of a high school diploma or its equivalent.
• CA Food Handler's Certificate and RBS.
• Demonstrated professionalism and prior serving experience.
• Familiarity with wine and beverages (preferred).
• Excellent oral communication capabilities.
• An upbeat attitude with a sense of urgency.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills.
• A willingness to be hands-on and lead by example.
• Must be available to work 2-3 shifts a week.
• Job is on call with advanced notice, and thus some weeks may not have scheduling.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

The role requires regular talking or hearing. The employee will need to stand, walk, sit, use hands for various tasks, reach, and occasionally stoop, kneel or crouch. The employee may occasionally need to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision. The work environment is usually indoors, in a controlled environment, and sometimes outdoors with a moderate noise level.

Pay: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour
