Grand Kubota is Hiring a Salesperson Near Grand Island, NE

Company Hiring Parameters-

  • Hours of Operation: M-F, 8:00am-5:00pm, 1 hour off for lunch, Saturdays, 8:00am-12:00pm, work every other Saturday.
  • Pay Period: Bi-weekly, every other Monday.
  • Pay Basis: (Variable starting wage based on experience) with review after 30 days, raise if training criteria is met. Final review in 60 days with appropriate pay increase reviewed.
  • Bonuses: All bonuses offered by Kubota and other suppliers, quota bonuses from time to time from company.
  • Paid Holidays: Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years’ Day, granted after probationary period.
  • Personal Time: 4 hours/month-accumulated. Personal time may not be carried over or paid after the end of the year. Granted after probationary period.
  • Vacation: 40 hours first year, 80 Hours after one year anniversary. Vacation is prorated to the end of the year, and second year to original hire date. Vacation not used by the end of the year will be paid out to the employee, up to 40 hours, and not carried over. Granted after probationary period.
  • Uniforms: $250.00/year employee uniform allowance.
  • Reviews: 1 required annually, additional 30 day and 60 day review after hire.
  • Insurance: Health insurance premium paid 50% by employer for employee, spouse and family. Dental insurance premium paid 50% by employer for employee, spouse and family, (premium paid only if employee elects to enroll in health insurance from the company). Vision insurance available, premiums not supplemented by employer. $25,000.00 life insurance policy paid by employer, short term disability insurance paid by employer, 401K available, company will match up to 3%. Long-term disability, accident, and cancer insurance also available, but are not supplemented by the company.

Sales Person is responsible for the sale and/or financing of commercial, turf, and agricultural equipment.

Employee Requirements-

  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Experience in sales/financing of commercial agriculture/construction/turf products.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Good communication and public speaking, and listening skills are required to sell products to customers.
  • Good personal health with ongoing efforts to maintain it.
  • Excellent attendance habits.
  • All personal tools to work efficiently.
  • Dress appropriately for interactions with customers of all types.

Position Responsibilities-

Equipment/Attachment Sales-

  • Sell a variety of commercial, turf and agricultural equipment and attachments.
  • Travel, as needed, with the purpose of expanding customer base and increasing sales.
  • Daily-assess the customer trends for purchasing equipment through feedback from Sales Manager and customers.
  • Assess, modify, and approve sales plan every week and ensuring that it is carried out appropriately.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with all statutory company and other requirements.
  • Monitor sales inventory for machines and attachments available for sale.
  • Ensure Sales Manager and Rental Manager are aware of slow-moving equipment, and propose methods to move it.
  • Ensure that Service Manager is aware of all equipment needing attention via a well-written PDI spreadsheet.
  • Confer with customers regarding installation, set-up, or operation of agricultural, construction and turf machines.
  • Maintain current product knowledge on features and benefits of all equipment offered by the dealership.
  • Monitor competitive activity/products and timely communicate findings to management.
  • Monitor trends in customer’s business activities and timely communicate findings to management.
  • Attend applicable sales and other training events/seminars.
  • Maintain all company vehicles and equipment when used.
  • Assist in new equipment field demonstrations.
  • Maintain current knowledge of used equipment values and ability to evaluate properly for trading purposes.
  • Maintain current knowledge of financing options to assist customers with securing the purchase of new and used goods.
  • Produce financial notes for customers when needed to purchase equipment.
  • Understand Kubota and other lines, sales systems and be up to date on all incentives.
  • Understand Kubota equipment ordering systems.
  • Protection of all company owned assets at all times.
