Pool Attendant
The Pool Attendant is an important hospitality personnel who is responsible for ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable beach experience for hotel guests and the general public. The attendant should be neat and presentable with a warm and pleasant personality. They should be able to work on their feet for extended periods and communicate effectively in both English and Spanish. Their primary duties include but are not limited to, keeping the beach clean throughout the shift and before leaving each day. The attendant provides towels, chairs, and umbrella service for guests and the public for a fee.
They store all beach equipment at the end of each shift and issue or return used towels to the property while taking inventory at the beginning and end of each day. The attendant and/or manager also monitors all activity on the beach and reports any issues in a daily log to the property.
They participate in hotel staffing meetings when necessary and remain alert to safety hazards such as broken glass, frayed electrical cords, broken locks, and suspicious persons, which they report to security and/or their direct supervisor.
They practice safety standards at all times and report to work on time and according to the posted schedule. The attendant must remain courteous and helpful to guests and co-workers at all times.
They should have the ability to lift 50-75lbs and keep all areas free of debris and trash. They should also skim the pool and maintain all furniture in good repair while reporting any damage.
