Empowered Staffing is Hiring an Acquisition Associate Near Skokie, IL

Empowered Staffing is partnered with a high-growth real estate investment firm with a diverse portfolio of assets across the US, including multifamily, self-storage, and ground-up development. Due to growth, the firm is seeking an Acquisition Associate who will play a pivotal role in identifying, evaluating, and executing multifamily property acquisitions throughout the United States. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise and market knowledge to source potential investments, conduct thorough due diligence, negotiate transactions, and manage post-acquisition activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the multifamily property acquisition process, from deal sourcing and initial evaluation to closing and post-acquisition management.
  • Identify and evaluate potential multifamily acquisition opportunities that align with our investment criteria and growth objectives.
  • Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to assess market trends, demand drivers, and investment feasibility.
  • Perform financial analysis, including complex financial modeling, cash flow projections, and investment return calculations.
  • Collaborate with the investment team to develop and refine acquisition strategies and investment thesis.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence on potential acquisitions, including property inspections, financial analysis, and risk assessment.
  • Negotiate purchase agreements, contract terms, and financing arrangements to maximize value and mitigate risks.
  • Oversee post-acquisition activities, including property management, leasing, and value-added initiatives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with industry professionals, such as owners, brokers, developers, and other key stakeholders.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, real estate, or a related field.
  • 2 years of experience in multi-family multifamily acquisitions, preferably within a real estate private equity investment firm.
  • Proven track record of sourcing both on-market and off-market multifamily real estate deals, preferably with experience in multi-family.
  • Strong financial acumen and proficiency in financial modeling, investment analysis, and due diligence.
  • In-depth knowledge of multi-family real estate markets, industry dynamics, and emerging trends.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to drive favorable outcomes in complex transactions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
