Ethan Health, LLC provides outpatient addiction treatment services to adults experiencing substance use disorders. We are dedicated to helping our patients, rehabilitate and overcome drug and alcohol addiction.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Medical Billing Specialist. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical billing procedures, coding, and terminology.

Duties:

• Process and submit medical claims to insurance companies
• Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility
• Review and appeal denied or unpaid claims
• Utilize medical billing software to input and track claims
• Ensure compliance with billing regulations and guidelines
• Communicate with healthcare providers, patients, and insurance companies regarding billing issues
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in medical billing, preferably in a behavioral health or healthcare setting.
• Must have utilization review and prior authorization experience
• Experience with medical office systems and software
• Proficiency in navigating Managed Care Organization (MCO) portals and other billing software.
• Strong understanding of insurance billing practices, including prior authorizations and claims submission.
• Knowledge of medical coding (ICD-10, CPT) and billing regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
