This is a hybrid role to NYC. Candidate needs to be local to go in as needed maybe once or twice a month. Salary depends on experience.
Senior Product Engineer
Must have:
Excellent communication/ organizational skills, go getter, team player
python coding (recent experience level 9-10
SQL Coding/ Queries
Azure a major plus if you have deployed in Azure or are Azure certified
banking/ financial institution
Data Governance/ Data Analyics
We are seeking Product Engineers with a hands-on coding capability, focusing on technical leadership and effective communication with business stakeholders. This role is not purely managerial; it requires a deep understanding of Python, underwriting models such as Moody s, and experience with core banking systems like Fidelity Information Services (FIS) or FISERV, coupled with CRM platforms like Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading a product-centric engineering organization, driving technical strategy, and ensuring successful technology delivery aligned with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership:
- Lead global engineering teams with a focus on product-centricity and high performance.
- Drive Agile transformation initiatives within the Digital and Banking TechDev organization.
- Build and foster a cross-functional team environment conducive to innovation and collaboration.
- Cultivate an inclusive and empowering climate within the engineering organization.
Technical Skills:
- Oversee public cloud migration and deployment, with expertise in AWS and Azure environments.
- Define technology strategy and direction aligned with business objectives.
- Enable Open Banking APIs and drive process and productivity improvements tied to OKRs.
- Lead technology modernization and transformation efforts within the organization.
- Promote a DevSecOps culture and evangelize Agile transformation with value stream mapping.
- Proficient in various software development methodologies including Scrum, Kanban, and Scaled Agile.
- Possess strong programming skills in languages such as Java, C/C , .NET, COBOL, and Assembly.
- Experienced in working with databases including Oracle, MySQL, Sybase, SQL Server, DB2, and VSAM.
- Familiarity with platforms such as VMware, OpenStack, Oracle RAC, Exadata, Windows, and Linux.
- Utilize tools like Rational Suite, Jira, Jenkins, Junit, and UiPath (RPA) for effective project management
Business Skills:
- Demonstrate solid business acumen and strategic vision in driving technology initiatives.
- Exhibit exceptional communication skills to effectively liaise with business stakeholders.
- Possess strong dependability and meticulous follow-through in project execution.
