Job Title: Accounting Supervisor

Reports to: Controller

Summary

Accounting Supervisor work is essential for maintaining the financial wellness and integrity of an organization. The Accounting Supervisor will oversee the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable departments and develop standards and processes for proper financial management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage the company’s AP/AR, payrolls, cash receipts and financial assets.
• Handle the company’s transactions and debts and do cash flow forecasting.
• Follow proper accounting procedures to reach financial objectives.
• Monitor and analyze financial accounting data.
• Create financial reports based on data analysis.
• Reconciliations; Capital Lease Schedules, other assigned schedules

Education/Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles. 2 years of QuickBooks Online experience.
• Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role, preferably in an accounting department.

Language Ability

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees of the organization.

Math Ability

Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Pay: $52,000.00 - $57,000.00 per year
