POSITION OVERVIEW We are actively seeking to identify personnel to join our team of talented professionals who possess the experience, vision, commitment, and integrity to successfully support us and the Department of Homeland Security.
Our team provides strategic and programmatic policy, analysis, planning, communications, outreach, and engagement support to the Office for Bombing Prevention (OBP) whose mission is to protect critical infrastructure by building capabilities within the public and across the private and public sectors to prevent, protect against, respond to, and mitigate bombing incidents. In furtherance of this mission, OBP manages a focused portfolio of activities to coordinate national and intergovernmental bombing prevention efforts; enhance Counter-Improvised Explosive Device (C-IED) capabilities though requirements and gap analysis; and increase Improvised Explosive Device (IED) awareness and information sharing among Federal, State, local, and private sector partners. All in an effort to promote awareness of the domestic threat posed by IEDs and communicate the value of OBP programs and services in protecting against this threat to various stakeholders.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: - Shall provide subject matter expertise in developing and executing communications strategies focused on promoting the awareness and value of specific programs and services to multiple stakeholders.
- Direct contractor employees performing the daily activities of the Communications Section within the Branch.
QUALIFICATIONS: Required Qualifications: - Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must have a Top Secret/SCI clearance
- Must have at least 1 year of direct experience in supporting an organization in CISA and familiarity and experience with recent CISA Branding requirements.
- Shall have expertise in the development of communications strategies that include, but are not limited to, maximizing outreach and engagement efforts and developing various promotional products.
- Excellent oral and writing skills.
- Some travel may be required
