Summary of Essential Job Functions

• Operates all equipment needed for civil work (excavators, bobcats, etc.)
• Experience with building culverts, pump pads, roadways, and collecting soil reclamations.
• Constructing/pouring concrete, and layout and tying rebar
• Obtain needed information or decisions from the superintendent on problems that come up during the work.
• Manage field crew in day-to-day tasks of projects.
• Complete and maintain work site paperwork to include, but not limited to, material requisitions, and daily/weekly job site inspection forms.
• Read and interpret blueprints, ISO’s, filed installations, material takeoffs, and field sketches, and understand specifications.
• Inspect work progress and completed work to ensure conformance to specifications and adjust the work or plan schedules as required.
• Perform field take-offs for materials.
• Assist workers in their duties and resolve problems.
• Ensure that safety and housekeeping rules are followed.
• Assist other craft workers as needed.
• Additional responsibilities not listed may be required.
• Must be able to work overtime when required.

Requirement

• Ability to supervise multiple employees.
• Ability to schedule projects and meet deadlines.
• Must have 10 Minimum experience in Civil trade.
• Must be or be able to pass a Scaffolding Competent Person Training Course
• Must be able to read civil construction prints.
• Operates all equipment needed for civil work (excavators, bobcats, etc.)
• Must have experience in rigging heavy equipment.
• Attention to detail.
