City of Bethlehem is Hiring a Police Officer Near Bethlehem, PA

The City of Bethlehem Police Department is accepting applications for the position of Police Officer through 4:00 PM., June 7, 2024. Starting annual salary: $65,859. Competitive benefits package.

Applicants must:

- Be a citizen of the U.S. and resident of the U.S. for at least 5 years;

- Be at least 21 years of age on application deadline; and

- Possess an Associate's Degree or a minimum of 60 credits from not more than 2 accredited colleges/universities (this requirement may be waived if you possess Act 120 Certification and 2,000 hours of service as a municipal police officer or have at least 2 years active military service and an honorable discharge from such service); and

- Possess a valid driver's license.

To apply, complete online application (https://www.bethlehem-pa.gov/Police/Applications​) and submit the following documentation by 4:00 PM, June 7, 2024:

1. Completed and signed online Application Packet;

2. Copy of high school diploma;

3. Copy of degree and unofficial transcript and/or copy of Act 120 Certificate;

4. Copy of birth certificate;

5. Copy of valid driver's license;

6. Copy of social security card;

7. DD-214, Member 4 Form if you are a veteran claiming Veteran's Preference.

Incomplete applications will not be accepted. Successful applicants will be notified by e-mail after the application deadline and required to undergo a physical fitness examination. Applicants who pass the physical fitness examination will be required to undergo a written examination.
