We are seeking a Quality Inspector for our San Diego, CA office who will be primarily responsible for ensuring incoming material/components, sub-assemblies, and finished goods meet internal specifications by performing inspections per released inspection plans.
Responsibilities for this Role
· Adherence to Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, and Good Documentation Practice guidelines (SOPs, WIs, GDP)
· Completion of inspections (receiving, in-process, finished goods) per released inspection plans both inside and outside of cleanroom
· Initiation of NCMR’s and notification of Quality when any nonconformance is identified
· Verify incoming supplier documentation meets internal requirements
· Assist in performing routine preventive maintenance on CLPT tools and equipment
· Effectively communicate cross-functionally with production operators, purchasing, quality engineering, and manufacturing engineering to resolve any documentation discrepancies in a timely matter
· Support Operations with production builds
· Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks based on production needs and project deadlines
· Other duties as assigned
Skills and Qualifications
· 3 years of experience in medical devices or related highly regulated field preferred (e.g. aerospace)
· GMP, GDP, ISO and procedural compliance and training to quality system requirements
· Quality Inspector Certification (QIC)
· Attention to detail
· Proficiency with various mechanical measurement tools: calipers, pin gages, thread gages, etc.
· Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
· General computer skills and experience with Microsoft office applications
· Ability to read, write and effectively communicate in English
