Callaway County is Hiring a 911 Dispatcher Near Fulton, MO

Callaway County Joint Communications is accepting applications for a full-time 911 Dispatcher position.

Applicants must pass a background screen and pre-employment drug test and must have a high school education or equivalent.

The starting salary is $38,000 annually ($18.27 per hour) full benefit package (including free health insurance, two retirement programs, paid sick/vacation/holiday pay, life insurance, etc.). After a successful training period, employees may receive up to a $2,000 annual salary increase, at the discretion of the 911 Director.

Job Duties:

  • Receives and processes 911 calls, including both emergency and non-emergency calls for Police, Fire, and Emergency Medical Services (EMS).
  • Determines the appropriate call types and course of action based on the nature of the calls.
  • Receives incident reports, including emergency calls through 911, and simultaneously enter information into the computer-aided dispatch system.
  • Operates public safety dispatching equipment for multiple jurisdictions and agencies.

This is an entry level position. Paid training is provided.
