Looking for a supportive atmosphere to develop your floral design skills? Do you want to have fun while you are working and be a part of a great team? We work hard and love what we do, and who we work with every day.
Once you master the assistant position you will start training for the floral designer role. This is a great way to gain experience an skill in floral design.
The Shop: Anita's Garden Shop is a family-owned business that has been delighting Jacksonville’s customers for over 30 years. We take pride in treating our team like family because we can, and we believe that is why we have longevity with our employees
The Role: As a Designer Assistant you will play a key part in maintaining the store so customers can be served quickly and efficiently. In addition to maintenance and upkeep you will care for plants and other goods for sale.
Who: Successful designers will need a keen eye for design and an aptitude for retail sales. We require design experience and aptitude from floral or another field.
Hours will be flexible around 24 per week. The current need is for Monday, Thursday and rotating every other Friday / Saturday. Some additional hours during holiday periods will be required.
Where: We are located in Historic Avondale, which might just be the best place to be in all of Jacksonville. Great food, shopping, and strolling abound.

- We are looking for experienced candidates, you may be asked for a portfolio or representation of your work.
- We will have you in for an interview at the shop, you may be asked to do some designing on the shop.
- We will hire the best candidate as soon as we can.
