The Best Western hotel in Livonia ,MI is seeking positive, energetic, detail oriented individuals to join our Housekeeping team. As the Houseman you are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of guest corridors, elevators, and all assigned public areas. In addition this position helps with the washing, folding and distributing all linens and towels. He/she also helps to delivering items to guest rooms. Must be able to work Mornings, Weekends and occasionally evenings when needed.

Duties and Functions:

• Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service oriented manner.
• Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times.
• Thoroughly clean and sanitize public space, public rest rooms and lobby areas.
• Complete all pre-cleaning duties, including but not limited to, guest supplies, cleaning supplies, and linen for housekeeping cart set-up.
• Remove all trash from public restrooms, outdoor areas and hallways.
• Keep all hallways, public areas and closets clean, neat and vacuumed.
• Report any maintenance repairs immediately to Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager.
• Handle items for “Lost & Found” according to hotel standards.

Qualification Standards:

• Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
• Ability to walk and/or stand during the entire shift.
• Medium Work- Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
• Ability to work Holidays and Weekends.
• Ability to work evening shifts.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
