Position will include two locations: Little Smiles of Hazelwood and Little Smiles of Dardenne Prairie Location

Education Level:

Highschool diploma or equivalent. 1 years of experience, dental office preferred. Dental practice experience is ideal but not required. A candidate with Dentrix Ascend experience will be given high consideration.

Description:

The Business Assistant I needs to be goal oriented, positive, and professional, as they will handle checking patients out after treatment and cleanings. This position needs to be team-centric, innovative, organized and detail focused with the ability to multitask. This position will be responsible for collecting payments once services are rendered.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of dental practice management software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, etc.)
  • Knowledge of dental terminology.
  • Understand and comply with policies and procedures associated with a ​dental practice.
  • Understand and comply with HIPAA.
  • Understand and comply with the HI-TECH Act of 2009.

  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds

Duties:

  • Reschedule appointments based on the patient and Dentist’s availability and needs
  • Greet patients and family as they exit the practice after treatment and cleanings
  • Record broken appointments and last minute cancellations in the patient’s chart
  • Analyze data to determine answers to questions from patients or members of the public
  • Maintain patient records
  • Accountability, coaching, and development
  • Schedule appointments
  • Processing Claims and Billing Statements
  • Delivering marketing campaigns
  • Reviewing accounts receivable and collections
  • Interfacing with insurance companies
  • Having fun while you are at work
  • Present Treatment Plans and Collect Co-pays
  • Maintain and Organize other front office duties as assigned
  • Organize and prioritize your duties

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
