Assisting Hands Home Care - West Houston is hiring Caregivers! 
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Maintaining a Healthy Environment:
o Ensure a clean, safe, and healthy atmosphere within the client's
residence.
o Perform light cleaning and organization in areas such as bathrooms,
sleeping and living spaces.
o Handle tasks related to client's laundry and dishes.
2. Personal Care Activities:
o Implement all personal care activities outlined in the written Plan of Care.
o Assist with personal hygiene, ambulation, exercise, eating, dressing,
shaving, physical transfers, and other assigned duties.
3. Nutritional Support:
o Provide necessary nutritional support based on client's needs.
4. Monitoring and Reporting:
o Report any changes in the client's condition promptly.
5. Specialized Assistance:
o Assist with the use of daily living aids (e.g., wheelchair, walker, hover lift).
o Conduct prescribed range of motion exercises.
o Educate family members on household routines and skills.
o Measure intake and output of fluids.
o Record vital signs and other health-related activities.
6. Medication Assistance/ Reminders:
o Support the client in self-administration of medication.
o Handle medication containers as per guidelines.
o Keep records of medication assistance activities.
7. Infection Control and Compliance:
o Adhere to agency's infection control policies, including proper hand
washing techniques per CDC Guidelines.
o Follow all policies and procedures outlined in the agency’s Policy and
Procedure Manual, Caregiver Handbook, and Caregiver Training Manual.
Work Schedule:
 Hours are dependent on assignment.
 Shifts available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week based on availability. (Note:
Assisting Hands does not guarantee hours.)
