Job Description: As an After Hours Care Coordinator at Anchor In-Home Care, you will play a vital role in maintaining uninterrupted communication and support for our clients and caregivers during after-hours. This remote position allows you to work from the comfort of your own home while contributing to our mission of delivering high-quality care.

At Anchor In-Home Care, our administrative team, existing scheduling infrastructure, and adherence to established policies and procedures serve as effective measures to mitigate day-to-day disruptions. However, the role of the scheduling care coordinator serves as our contingency plan, ensuring seamless operation of our 24/7, 365-day in-home care agency. It is expected that you will often not have any calls to take. This position guarantees uninterrupted communication and maintains our commitment to providing uninterrupted care, even outside of normal business hours.

Responsibilities:

1. After-Hours Support: Answer any incoming calls received between 5:00 PM and 8:00 AM, ensuring timely response and resolution of client and caregiver inquiries or emergencies.

2. Remote Assistance: Handle calls from your own home using provided infrastructure and policies, eliminating the need to travel to the office. You are not expected to stay awake from 5pm-8am.

3. Default Actions: Execute predefined actions when calls come through, following established protocols and procedures to address common issues or concerns.

4. On-Call Availability: Be available to respond to calls as needed, although due to our current policies and procedures, it is expected that many nights may pass without any calls requiring mediation. During the hours of 5:00 PM to 8:00 AM, you are not required to remain awake. However, should a call occur during this timeframe, it is expected that you promptly respond and take appropriate action in accordance with established protocols

5. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all calls received and actions taken, ensuring thorough documentation and communication with the administrative team.

6. Flexible Schedule: Work hours that accommodate your existing commitments, making this an ideal opportunity for stay-at-home or home-school parents, single parents with small children and individuals seeking additional income.

7. Collaboration: Coordinate with other team members and departments to ensure seamless continuity of care and support for clients and caregivers.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills and phone etiquette
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions under minimal supervision
  • Reliable internet connection and comfortable working from home
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and respond to calls as needed
  • Empathy and compassion for clients and caregivers
  • Prior experience in a similar role is a plus, but not required
