Reports to: K-12 Enrichment Program Director and Head of School

Hours: Full-Time (12-month position), Non-Exempt 

Overview
Works in Conjunction with K-12 Enrichment Program Director to ensure implementation of the 21st Century enrichment programs. Responsible for the management and supervision of the day to day operation of the enrichment program during the school year and summer, working to develop future programs, supervising enrichment staff, and maintaining contacts between the program, home, and school.

Responsibilities/duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for overall supervision of elementary school building during enrichment hours; possess knowledge of all safety and emergency procedures; monitor enrichment program through regular walk through to ensure safety and security of enrichment staff and participants
  • Ensure rules and regulations applicable to building are adhered to
  • Develops and maintains programs in conjunction with K-12 Enrichment Program Director
  • Provide supervision and leadership to all enrichment staff, program chaperons, and substitutes for the development and coordination of all programs for maximum effectiveness
  • Coordinate the use of substitutes, program chaperons, and volunteers
  • Facilitate regular staff meetings
  • Responsible for the registration process of all enrichment programs; assisting with the Paul Cuffee Financial Aid program
  • Ensure that the daily enrichment program adheres to the regulations and guidelines set forth by the Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF)
  • Maintain necessary paperwork for all enrichment activities in accordance with the Sodexho after-school snack program
  • Manage weekly billing through Quickbooks accounting system; collect payments from families, maintaining accurate accountability for cash handling
  • Collaborate with school personnel and community partners to ensure an effective program that helps to support student learning during the school day
  • Help to produce and distribute policies, communications, surveys, and application materials required for implementing enrichment programs
  • Disseminate all program information; maintain contact with parents and school personnel about programs and schedules
  • Responsible for collecting all required data for submission to K-12 Enrichment Program Director for program evaluation
  • Schedules and coordinates professional development and trainings in conjunction with K-12 Enrichment Program Director
  • Assure school day behavior expectations and tools for dealing with behavior transition into the enrichment program
  • Oversee and schedule transportation for programs as necessary
  • Provide continuous evaluation of programs informally, as well as formally on an on-going basis
  • Assist in recruiting and hiring staff as needed
  • Use Youth Services to track attendance and other program data
  • Perform staff evaluations every three months
  • Perform monthly fire and evacuation drills
  • Attend monthly 21st CCLC meetings
  • Work directly with students as needed
  • Secure enrichment materials and supplies as necessary and appropriate
  • Serve on Enrichment Advisory Board
  • Assist with all events related to enrichment programs
  • Perform other tasks consistent with the goals of this position

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • At least two years of relevant experience preferred
  • CPR certified preferred
