Surdex is a geospatial mapping company located in Chesterfield, MO. We're seeking an Aerial Acquisition Administrator to handle flight planning, flight scheduling, and imagery capture/GPS data collection during mission flights in a manner that ensures the highest product quality, including assembling, transporting, operating, and maintaining all data and image capture equipment and systems. In addition, this person keeps ISO processes and work instructions current and trains all team members to understand and comply with them. Serves as Project Lead on assigned aerial acquisition initiatives.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

1. 1. Flight Planning (creating plans, updating work instructions, communicating with Sales and Operations).

   2. Flight Scheduling (communicating with flight crews, coordinating with project management to ensure resources are allocated to meet project deadlines).

   3. Sensor Management (managing equipment and system, initiating firmware and software updates, training and directing others).

   4. Administrative Duties (such as reporting, monitoring time sheets and expense reports, etc.)

Education, Experience and Skills:

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Aviation, Engineering, GIS, or a related field, or a relevant combination of coursework and experience.
• 3 years' aviation, GIS, or other relevant combination of experience/education.
• Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record and Passport (or ability to obtain a passport within three months of hire).
• Proficient verbal and written English communication.
• Experience using computer and managing files, including data uploads.
• Cell phone with texting.
• Personal Credit Card with $3,000 available credit to procure commercial flights, hotel, meals, and rental cars. Weekly reimbursement is made upon submission of expense report.
• Ability to pass DOT pre-employment, random, reasonable suspicion, and post-accident drug tests.

Preferred:

• 5 years' Aviation, GIS, or other relevant combination of experience/education.

• 6 months' Aerial Acquisition sensor experience.

Position Requirements

• Must be able to work a schedule of 10 days on duty with 4 days off.
• Ability to pass DOT pre-employment, random and post-accident drug test.
• Driver's license with clean driving record.
• Must have US Passport or ability to obtain one.
• Employer sponsorship to work in the U.S. is not available for this position.

Essential Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit in a confined space in the plane for up to six (6) hours at a time.
• Ability to work a 10/4 schedule (10 days on, 4 days off).
• Visual acuity to see close-up, distance, color, periphery, night.
• Ability to input data using a computer keyboard and manipulate small equipment.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds of equipment.
• Ability to adapt to changing temperatures, noise, light.
• Ability to pass DOT pre-employment, random and post-accident drug testing.
• Ability to reach, climb, bend and twist.

Working Conditions

• Within single-engine, twin-engine, or turboprop Aircraft.
• Exposure to odors, sound, altitude changes and weather.
• Ability to work out of town as assigned.
• Normal office conditions.
